PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IPM motor rotor that secures high strength and effectively prevents magnetic flux leaking from a permanent magnet, and to provide an IPM motor with the rotor. SOLUTION: In the IPM motor rotor 100, recessed grooves 11 are formed on a side of a cylindrical rotor core 10. The core includes pressing members 40 configured by a plurality of divided parts comprising stacking steel plate 4, to hold divided magnets 2a and 2b arranged in the recessed grooves 11 with the recessed grooves 11 so as not to be in contact with the recessed grooves 11. Overhang parts 12 formed by projecting part of the rotor core, are interposed each of between the divided magnets 2a and 2b and between the divided parts 40 and 40 that are adjacent in the stacking direction. Two end plates 30 and 30 are installed at ends of the rotor core to fix at least the divided magnets 2a and 2b and the pressing members 40. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
