POLISHING DEVICE OF OPTICAL CONNECTOR PLUG

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constantly hold an optical connector plug in a stable state when the optical connector plug is inserted into a part between a groove of a jig disk and a ferrule pressing plate. SOLUTION: A polishing device of the optical connector plug includes the jig disk 1 having the grooves 2a and 2b of substantially U shapes in inner surfaces for supporting the ferrule F which are formed in side edges and arranged to be opposed to a polishing plate Q for polishing the ferrule F and the ferrule pressing plate 5 having engaging protrusions 5a and 5b provided on a front edge which are engaged with the grooves 2a and 2b to sandwich the ferrule F inserted into the grooves 2a and 2b between the jig base 1 and the pressing plate so as to support other part of the ferrule F. The substantially U shaped grooves 2a and 2b include grooves 2a and 2b having polygonal forms in inner surfaces which support the ferrule F in at least three points. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
