<p>Disclosed are an apparatus and method for providing a sentence correction service. A storage unit stores a plurality of correction formats, comprising: word information, including parts of speech of words of a predetermined language, and correction formats for each part of speech corresponding to the parts of speech of the words; and common correction formats including spelling corrections and spacing corrections that are unrelated to the parts of speech of the words. A search unit searches for the parts of speech of words, selected by a corrector from a sentence written by a pupil and received from a terminal of the pupil, from word information stored in the storage unit. A correction format determining unit determines a plurality of correction formats, including correction formats by parts of speech and common correction formats selectable by the corrector from the storage unit, corresponding to searched parts of speech of words selected by the corrector. A display unit displays the plurality of determined correction formats, which are transmitted to a corrector terminal, on said corrector terminal.</p> |
