PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vacuum cleaner which suppresses the generation of noises while suppressing the generation of a core slippage between the shaft core of a damping material and the shaft core of a housing. SOLUTION: An electric blower which generates a suction air is held through the ring-like damping material 30 in a cylindrical housing which is formed in a manner to become a two-split shape into the right and the left, and the driving motor for the electric blower is driven with a chargeable battery as the power source for this electric vacuum cleaner. In the electric vacuum cleaner, on the outer peripheral surface 31 of the damping material 30, a plurality of protuberances 35 and 36 which are arranged to be apart from each other in the axial direction X2 are formed in such a manner that the damping material may respectively come into contact with the internal wall of the housing on the front and the rear of the axial direction X2 of the housing.
