METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REPORTING MEASUREMENT RESULT AND HANDING OVER CELLS

The present invention relates to a method for reporting measurement result and a method and a system for handing over cells based on the method for reporting measurement result when applying the third generation mobile communication technologies to a scene of a User Equipment(UE) moving in high speed. It is used for solving the technical problem that the UE can not implement the exact handing over in the scene of moving in high speed. A NodeB measures the movement speed of UEs within the cell covered by the NodeB and reports it to a Radio Network Controllers(RNC) by a measurement report. According to the reported movement speed of the UE, the RNC determines whether the UE hands over to a new cell or not. The cell handing over can be made more timely and exact by the present invention.
