<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable ratio terminal in which antenna performance is not degraded by the usage state of the portable radio terminal and antenna characteristics do not change even in water immersion. <P>SOLUTION: The portable radio terminal includes: a circuit board that is provided in a first housing and includes a radio section and a ground pattern; a conductive member electrically connected to the radio section; a first hinge connected to the first housing so as to rotate about a first axis; an antenna element provided in a second housing; and a conductive hinge connected to the second housing so as to rotate about a second axis substantially orthogonal to the first axis. The radio section is electrically connected to the conductive hinge via the conductive member, a part of the conductive hinge is separated with a gap in a range so as to be capacitively coupled with the antenna element, and a part of the conductive hinge fed with power from the radio section through the conductive member is capacitively coupled with a part of the antenna element. Thus the ground pattern of the circuit board, the conductive hinge, and the antenna element constitute a dipole antenna. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
