PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism, for a mobile information terminal, in which a case including a display section is made into a landscape shape at various horizontal positions. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a mobile information terminal in which, from a closed state where a lower case comprising an operating section is covered with an upper case including a display section, a guide shaft fixed in the lower case is moved along a guide groove fixed in the upper case, thereby rotating and moving the upper case to provide a laterally long state.
