PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a stereoscopic image suited for a screen size without increasing user's workload.

SOLUTION: A game machine 210 uses screen size information of a TV set 250 when generating stereoscopic image data for displaying a game image or when correcting stereoscopic image data of content, such as the existing movie. The game machine 210 obtains information about the screen size, for example, by reading E-EDID (Enhanced Extended Display Identification Data). The TV set 250 supplies the information about the screen size to the game machine 210 by including the information in the E-EDID. The game machine 210 also uses viewing distance of the TV set 250 during generating or correcting the stereoscopic image data, and uses, for example, recommended viewing distance obtained by the screen size.
