PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of reproducing moving images using windows in which thumbnail images are displayed. SOLUTION: A CPU 12 reads moving images stored in a storage device 11, reduces one frame image included in the read moving images, creates a thumbnail image for each moving image, and lines up the created thumbnail images in a thumbnail display window 20a and displays them on a display unit 14. If a thumbnail image is selected by an operation portion 16, then the selected thumbnail image 211a is displayed after being provided with a frame 213 on its outer frame. Thus, it is indicated that the image 211a is a selected thumbnail image. If an image reproduction button 233 is operated, then an actual file of the moving image indicated by an image ID of the selected thumbnail image 211a is read from the storage device 11, and the read actual file of the moving image is stored in a memory 13.
