PURPOSE: A benzotriazole based reactive UV absorber and a use thereof are provided to synthesize polyester and polyurethane with the improved durability. CONSTITUTION: A benzotriazole based reactive UV absorber is marked with chemical formula 1 or 2. In the chemical formulas, R1, R2, and R3 are selected from the group consisting of an ethoxyl group including -OH, and a methoxyl group including the -OH. R4 and R5 are a hydroxyethyl group and a methyl group, respectively. R6 is the -OH, H, the methyl group, or an ethyl group.
