PURPOSE: A reinforcing bar coupler is provided to improve coherence between a reinforcing bar and a coupler and to improve torsional rigidity and bending rigidity. CONSTITUTION: A reinforcing bar coupler is composed as follows. A circular coupling hole(7) is formed in a pair of couplers(2). Multiple protrusions(4) and grooves(3) are formed inside the coupling hole. The protrusions and the grooves are coupled to trapezoid protrusions(14) and retreated grooves(13) of a reinforcing bar(10). Guide pins(5) and guide holes(6) are formed on the inner surface of the couplers. Tapered surfaces(8) are formed in both ends of the couplers. Coupling rings(20) cover both ends of the couplers.
