PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a highly efficient punch data reduced in unproductive idle time of punch needle when punch engraving a plurality of patterns. SOLUTION: A needle bar case 7 contains needle bars 8, and a specific needle bar 8 among the needle bars, has a punch needle detachably attached to it instead of a sewing needle 9. A carriage 19 of transfer mechanism 18 allows detachable attachment of a punching holder that holds a punch workpiece W. A control circuit executes punch engraving operation based on punch engraving data. The control circuit generates punch data by extracting only the transfer data from pattern data for embroidery sewing. In executing punch engraving operation including multiple patterns, the punch data is generated so that the punch engraving operation is executed sequentially one by one for each of the multiple patterns.
