LASER BEAM WELDING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam welding apparatus that performs laser welding operation at high speed.

SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a multiple axis robot 110 having a plurality of arms; a scanner 120 attached to an operating end of the arms and equipped with an optical system that emits a laser beam onto a workpiece; a robot controller 140 in which an origin of the coordinate of the scanner 120 is set at an intersection point between a fixed component of the components of the optical system and an optical axis of the laser beam and in which movement of the multiple axis robot 110 is controlled so that the origin of the coordinate passes on a teaching path; and a scanner controller 150 which controls movement of the optical system of the scanner 120 so that the machining point of the workpiece is irradiated with the laser beam.
