[Also in Group XXX] In a mechanism for separating water from sand, gravel and the like of the rotary bucket arm or. conveyer bucket type the perforated buckets are successively subjected to a positively-operated vibrating action during their elevation or movement for assisting in the separation of the water from the solid matter. An electrically-actuated vibratory device c mounted on a frame d supported by antivibration mountings on a tank b carries a rotating disc cl which co-operates with plates a3 bolted to radial arms al to vibrate buckets a2 supported by the arms. Where the buckets are provided on an endless conveyer the vibrator makes contact with the conveyer by means of a roller.
