PURPOSE: A steam generator for steaming food stuffs is provided to prevent steam from stopping being supplied due to the sudden temperature drop of an evaporating tank when a lot of water is supplied by supplying a little water through an auxiliary water supply pipe when steam is generated. CONSTITUTION: A steam generator for steaming food stuffs comprises a settling plate and a water supply pipe(14). The settling plate is installed in an upper lid(12). The water supply pipe comprises an initial water supply pipe(14a) and an auxiliary water supply pipe(14b). The initial water supply pipe is connected to the water supply pipe(28) of an evaporation tank(11) to initially supply water. The auxiliary water supply pipe is connected in parallel to the initial water supply pipe and the auxiliary water supply pipe adds water when steam is generated. After pre-heating water using waste heat produced from the evaporation tank or a heater(13), the auxiliary water supply pipe supplies the heated water to the evaporation tank. |
