摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity of the products by shortening one time mask step when manufacturing an array substrate. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The array substrate for an electrophoretic display device includes: a gate and data wiring which are formed such that they cross on the substrate with each other to define a plurality of pixel regions; a common wiring which is formed separated parallel from the gate wiring; thin-film transistors which are formed in the plurality of pixel regions; the first storage electrode which is formed having been branched from the common wiring at the lower part of a gate insulating film; the second protection layer which is formed such that it exposes the drain electrode by an organic insulating substance corresponding to the thin-film transistors and a gate and data wiring; and a pixel electrode which is formed on the second protection layer and which contacts the drain electrode, superimposed with the gate and data wiring connected to the thin-film transistors. In the pixel electrode, the part superimposed on the first storage electrode forms the second storage electrode, and the first storage electrode, the gate insulating film and the second storage electrode superimposed with one another form a storage capacitor.
