PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a deflection due to a winding habit is added to a charger shutter 10 and a subsequent opening and closing operation of the charger shutter 10 can not be performed smoothly when such a configuration as to perform winding by means of a winding device 11' so that the protruding surface side of the charger shutter 10 may become the outer surface though the habit-forming treatment in order to impart a curvature shape so as to follow the circumferential surface of the photoreceptor 1 with respect to the charger shutter 10 which opens and closes the opening of the corona charger 2. SOLUTION: The charging device has such a configuration as to wind a sheet-like member by means of the winding device 11 such that the protruding surface side of the charger shutter 10 becomes the inner surface.
