摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately compensate an error component caused by bending moment. SOLUTION: A load cell 10 is equipped with roughly cylindrical strain generating element 12. When a load W is applied to the strain generating element 12, strain is generated in a strain generating part 18 of the strain generating element 12. The strain is detected by strain gauges 24, and 26. Based on the detection results, a load detection value which is an estimated value of the load is determined. When the strain generating element 12 is inclined, bending moment is effected on the strain generating element 12, and an error component is included in the load detection value with the bending moment. The bending moment is strongly associated with an inclined angleθand an inclined direction (inclined direction angleα) of the strain generating element 12, and the load W. The inclined angleθand the inclined direction of the strain generating element 12 are detected with an inclination sensor 32, and the error component is compensated based on the detection results and the load detection value which is an estimated value of the load W.
