摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the over-discharging of an electric storage device in the case of executing abnormal-time driving using a motor when abnormality of an engine is caused in a hybrid car. <P>SOLUTION: When the abnormality of the engine is detected, an HV-ECU makes a display device display execution impossibility of an engine traveling mode and its switching to an EV traveling mode (step S22). Also, the HV-ECU monitors the SOC of the electric storage device in the case of executing saving traveling by EV traveling, and when the SOC of the electric storage device is equal to or less than a prescribed SOC lower limit value, the HV-ECU makes the display device display execution impossibility of the EV traveling mode and the allowable number of times of engine restart (step S24) before the hybrid car is put in a traveling impossible state (step S25).
