Method and system for editing an object represented on a web page

The method involves establishing a communication link, for browsing a website, between a server (20) and a browsing application (6) implemented by a terminal (5) by an establishing unit. Description data describing an object for display of a graphical representation of the object in a user interface is sent to the application by the server via the link using a dispatching unit. A set of program instructions specific to a category of the object is designed for execution by the application for editing the graphical representation. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a server for editing an object represented in a page of a website (2) a recording medium having a set of instructions for executing a multimedia graphical object editing method.
