PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for the production and accumulation of a foreign useful protein in a plant seed which is an excellent storage part of the protein.

SOLUTION: This promotor sequence of gene of a seed storage protein arcelin 2, of phaseolus is isolated and the gene encoding the foreign useful protein is seed specifically expressed under the expression control of the promotor.
