PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling embedded air conditioner, including a means for avoiding a temperature zone where bacteria are most active by changing the temperature of condensed water collected in a drain pan to restrain generation and growth of slime caused by bacteria. SOLUTION: A cord heater 1b is integrally wound round a partial outer periphery of a cycle pipe 1a constituting a heat exchanger 1, and installed in the vicinity of a drain pan drain port 4a. The cooling action of the cycle pipe 1a and the heating action of the cord heater 1b are alternately or simultaneously performed to optionally change the temperature of condensed water 6 collected in the drain pan 4, whereby the generation and growth of slime caused by bacteria can be restrained.
