<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrosurgical device developed for effectively and consistently sealing and splitting blood vessel tissue. <P>SOLUTION: The blood vessel sealer-splitter is an electrosurgical device for performing at least one of sealing and separating of blood vessel. The electrosurgical device includes: a housing 20 with a shaft 12 mounted thereon; a first jaw member 110 which is movable with respect to a second jaw member 120, is mounted on the shaft, is relatively movable from a first opening position to a second closing position, the jaw members are arranged at a distance from each other in the fist opening position and they cooperate with each other to grab tissue therebetween at the second closing position; a drive assembly to move the jaw members between the first and second positions; and a handle assembly 40 mounted on the housing 20 to actuate the drive assembly 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
