<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminating device of stairs enabling safe lifting by illuminating stepping faces and nosings at the same time. <P>SOLUTION: The illuminating device 10 is loaded on a nosing site 7 of each step 3 for illuminating a stepping face 5 just under and a nosing 7 just over with an LED 13 as a light source. The illuminating device 10 is provided with a rectangular-shape case body 11 forming a front-side opening 112 at a front side. An LED-mounting plate 12 mounting the LED 13 is arranged aslant in the case body 11 and a light-reflecting plate 16 is arranged at an upper part of the case body 11. An upper-side opening 111 is formed at an upper part of the case body 11 to mount a translucent opaque white panel 14. The LED 13 is so arranged to irradiate on the reflecting plate 16 in a slanted state, so that light irradiated from the LED 13, on one hand, irradiates light reflected from the reflecting plate 16 on the stepping face 5 just under, and on the other hand, passes through the opaque white panel 14 from a light-transmitting space 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
