PURPOSE: An optical system for a scanner is provided to reduce space by forming a plurality of prisms to be overlapped using total reflection. CONSTITUTION: A lamp(301) transfers light to a document(300). A prism lens(302) transfers light source in which a lamp is radiated and reflected to a lens(304). The lens forms light passing by the prism lens to a charge-coupled device element(305). The charge-coupled device element changes an optical signal into an electric signal.
