<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitance type contact detecting device which prevents erroneous determination that a user contacts with a door handle for door locking, at the time when the capacitance of a capacitance sensor is increased by restoration of the door handle to the original position by the user after he pulls the door handle. <P>SOLUTION: This contact detecting device includes the capacitance sensor 3 which is constituted by that a sensor electrode provided in the door handle works together with a conductor in the vicinity thereof to form a capacitor, and a detecting part 4 which detects the contact of the user with the surface of the door handle, based on a change in the capacitance in the capacitance sensor. The detecting part includes a time measuring part 6 which measures the time elapsing from the moment of transition of the capacitance of the capacitance sensor from a state of being higher than a first threshold to a state of being lower than the threshold, to the moment of transition of this capacitance from a state of being lower than a second threshold to a state of being higher than this threshold, and a contact determining part 7 which determines that the user comes into contact with the surface of the door handle, at the time when the time measured by the time measuring part exceeds a prescribed time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
