PURPOSE: An electrophoretic display device and an electronic device are provided to control a leak current between pixels, thereby implementing the drive in low power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of pixel electrodes(21) is formed in a first substrate(28). The pixel electrodes and a common electrode(22) are formed in a second substrate(29). The common electrode faces a pixel electrode which is adjacent to the pixel electrodes. A plurality of electrophoretic elements(40) is pinched between the first substrate and the second substrate. The electrophoretic elements have charged electrophoretic particles. An adhesive layer(31) is formed between the electrophoretic elements and the first substrate. A floating electrode(51) is formed between the pixel electrodes and the adjacent pixel electrode.
