<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover rod for carding machine enabling exchange of card clothing at a lower cost. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a cover rod 1 for carding machine equipped with a body 2, a card clothing 3 and at least one fixing means 6 for card clothing, the fixing means 6 is formed by a clamp rail 7. In the clamp rail 7 equipped with a clamp face for card clothing 3 and used for fixing the card clothing 3 to the cover rod 1 of the carding machine, the clamp rail 7 has a means 8 for generating clamp force.
