<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To activate a biometric authentication function with a more reliable method which is applicable to small equipment. <P>SOLUTION: A biological information acquisition device 70 acquires a vein pattern of a subject 67 by irradiating the subject 67 with light. The biological information acquisition device 70 is provided with: an irregularity detection part for detecting a rugged shape formed on the skin of the subject 67; and a biological information acquisition part for starting to acquire the vein pattern of the subject 67 on the basis of the detection of the irregularity by the irregularity detection part. For example, by using detection of fingerprints formed on the skin of a human finger when the authentication operation starts, it is effectively suppressed that the biological information acquisition device falsely detects the authentication operation start. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
