The device has a coil arrangement (36) coupled to a functional power generator (62) for generating an electromagnetic field in an affected body region (10). A control unit (12) influences a voltage curve that is generated by the functional power generator in accordance with signals transmitted at an input interface (14) of the control unit. A sensor arrangement (16) senses a property of the affected body region. A transmission device (18) is coupled to the sensor arrangement for transmitting signals that is characteristic of the sensed property of the affected body region to the control unit.
