<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the performance of a feedback-controlled TCP network. <P>SOLUTION: A device that applies queuing to each flow comprises a buffer of a prescribed size that is partitioned into a plurality of queues, a scheduler that removes a packet from each buffer according to a prescribed rate and sends the packet through a network, and a control device for deciding the availability of a queue in the buffer capable of receiving a receiving packet and inputting the packet into the queue if the queue is available. The control device selects the queue according to the longest queue first scheme in the case that the queue is not available, the dropping of a packet is performed from a selected queue to accommodate an input of a received packet, then the fairness of a link is increased and packet throughput is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
