PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding method which can suppress the contamination of a supply route supplying a molding material to a cavity. SOLUTION: Regarding a molding method where, in a supply route SR communicating to a space between divided faces in a mold 101, an injection plunger 15 is progressed to fill a molten metal in the supply route SR into a cavity Ca formed between the divided faces, and, a molding material in the cavity Ca is solidified while applying pressure to the molten metal in the cavity Ca by the injection plunger 15 via a molding material in a communicating part CP to the space between the divided faces to the supply route SR, the molten metal in the cavity Ca is solidified as the molten metal in the communicating part CP lies in a melted state, an auxiliary plunger tip 47 in an auxiliary plunger 43 is inserted into the communicating part CP from the side opposite to the injection plunger 15, and, in a state where the supply route SR is closed, mold opening is performed.
