摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a rotor capable of reducing cogging torque of a motor, and to provide a method of manufacturing an electric power steering device capable of improving steering feeling. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing a rotor 22, a plurality of sintered magnetic materials 51 before a segment magnet 52 is subjected to magnetizing treatment are manufactured by being magnetically oriented parallel to the radial direction of the rotor 22. The magnetic orientation directions of the sintered magnetic materials 51 are tilted in the rotational direction to the radial direction of the rotor 22 due to errors in manufacturing. A predetermined number or more of sintered magnetic materials 51 tilted in the same rotational direction out of the sintered magnetic materials 51 with magnetic orientation directions tilted in the rotational direction to the radial direction of the rotor 22 are collected and fixed to the rotor 22. The sintered magnetic materials 51 fixed to the rotor 22 are magnetized and converted to the segment magnet 52 where NS poles are polarized in the magnetic orientation direction.
