A square cutting device for a solar cell ingot is provided to drop both a horizontal cutting wire and a vertical cutting wire to cut a solar cell ingot, thereby shortening a working time. A square cutting device for a solar cell ingot is comprised of a frame(100), a feeding cart(200), an ascending and descending cart and an ascending and descending drive unit. The frame consists of a base(101), a vertical frame(104) and a supporting plate(106). A pair of transferring rails(103) and a rack(102) are formed on the top of the base. A pair of vertical bars are connected to an ascending and descending guide(105) on the one side of the vertical frame. The supporting plate is connected to the top of the vertical frame. The feeding cart located in the lower part of the frame consists of a square-shaped ingot cradle(201), a transferring motor and a pinion.
