<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the consumption current of an OLED element. <P>SOLUTION: In a first period, after a gate of a driving transistor is set to an electrically floating state, a first potential is supplied to a first electrode to change a potential of a second electrode to such a potential that the driving transistor transitions to an on state; in a second period, the driving transistor is diode-connected, and a second potential which is different from the first potential and is within a range between a maximum value and a minimum value of a data potential is supplied to the first electrode; in a third period, the diode connection is released and the data potential is supplied to the first electrode; and in a fourth period, a driving current according with the potential of the gate of the driving transistor is supplied to a light-emitting element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
