An apparatus for removing dissolved hydrogen sulfide which comprises: an anaerobic-treatment tank (1) in which an organic wastewater is anaerobically treated; a circulating-water tank (3); a means of introducing the organic wastewater into circulating water; a treated-water tank (4) in which an anaerobically treated water is temporarily stored; a biodesulfurization column (5) in which the biogas generated by the anaerobic treatment is desulfurized; a means of supplying air to the biodesulfurization column (5); a means of supplying water to the biodesulfurization column (5); a first gas-diffusing means (9a) with which part of the biodesulfurized gas discharged from the biodesulfurization column (5) is bubbled into the treated-water tank (4); and a second gas-diffusing means (9b) with which a discharge gas discharged from the treated-water tank (4) is bubbled into a solution circulating between the anaerobic-treatment tank (1) and the circulating-water tank (3).
