METHOD OF ESTIMATING POSSIBILITY OF DERAILMENT OF ROLLING STOCK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a derailment possibility estimation method for easily estimating possibility that a rolling stock gets derailed due to earthquake motion.

SOLUTION: In the method of estimating the possibility that a rolling stock will be derailed due to a seismic wave, the seismic wave is decomposed into a plurality of unit waves, each of the plurality of unit waves is compared with limit amplitudes in a plurality of excitation conditions each having the different limit amplitude in its frequency to grade the unit wave, and the sum obtained by adding grades for all the unit waves is compared with a prescribed threshold value to estimate the derailment possibility.
