A backlight assembly, a display device including the same, and a shutdown prevention method of a current control device applied to the same are provided to prevent the operation of the current control device from being stopped to overheat. A backlight assembly comprises a light emitting element unit(100), a multi-channel current controller, and a thermal distribution device. The light emitting device comprises a plurality of light emitting diode strings. Multi-channel current controllers are electrically connected through the light emitting diode string and plurality of input channels. A plurality of current control circuits which individually controls the size of driving currents which light emitting diode strings are applied is included. Thermal distribution devices are electrically connected between input channels and light emitting diode strings.
