PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial flower easily producible while suppressing position slippage of an ornamental body on the surface of a petal when producing, and to provide a method for producing the artificial flower. SOLUTION: This artificial flower has a corolla member 11 and a stem member which supports the corolla member 11. The corolla member 11 has an attachment part for attaching the corolla member 11 to the stem member, a plurality of connection parts which are extended from the attachment part, and a plurality of petal parts 17 which are connected to the attachment part through the connection parts. The petal part 17 has an ornamental body 14 attached thereto, and the surface of the petal part 17 is formed with a projecting row 17b as an engagement part for positioning the ornamental body 14 in the case of attaching the ornamental body 14.
