PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new diamine compound usable to provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor excellent in ozone resistance and free from any adverse effect on other properties, to provide a method for producing the diamine compound, to provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor using the diamine compound, and to provide an image forming apparatus with the electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor is obtained by stacking, on a conductive support comprising a conductive material, a single layer type photosensitive layer containing a charge generating material and a charge transport material, or a stack type photosensitive layer formed by stacking a charge generating layer containing a charge generating material and a charge transport layer containing a charge transport material in this order, wherein the single layer type photosensitive layer or the stack type photosensitive layer contains a specific diamine compound.
