PURPOSE:To enhance the grinding and emulsifying efficiency of the tissue of the affected part, by providing a controller consisting of a detection part for detecting suction pressure changing at a definite cycle and a high frequency power supply control part performing control so as to output ultrasonic mechanical vibration generating voltage on the basis of the detection result at each time when suction pressure is higher than a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:A horn 10 generates ultrasonic mechanical vibration by the output from a high frequency power source part 16 and transmits the same to the tissue of the affected part to perform the grinding of the tissue of the affected part. The cyclical change of the suction pressure of a suction port 12 is detected by a suction pressure detection part 40. The suction pressure detection signal thereof is supplied to a high frequency power source control part 42 and a synchronous signal for making the output of the high frequency power source part 16 synchronous to the cyclical change of the suction pressure and, when the suction pressure is a predetermined value or more, ultrasonic mechanical vibration is supplied to a vibrator 14 from the high frequency power source part 16. Therefore, the grinding and emulsifying efficiency of the tissue of the effected part can be enhanced and operation can be finished within a short time.
