PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical component or the like which improves optical output by a means different from that forming an optical film for reducing Fresnel reflection. SOLUTION: The optical component includes; a ferrule 1 attached to an end part on the exit side of an optical fiber 7; a fluorescent substance containing member 4 containing a fluorescent substance; a reflection means 5 provided between the end part on the exit side of the optical fiber 7 and the fluorescent substance containing member 4 or between the ferrule 1 and the fluorescent substance containing member 4; and a sealing member 6 for sealing the fluorescent substance containing member 4 and the ferrule 1.
