A door (2) for closing the operative space of a cup drink distributing machine (1) comprising: a back part facing said operative space and an opposed front part. To the door (2) are associated means for filling cups, means for driving the cups to a dispensing space, a shell (4) for holding and containing said filling and cup driving means, lighting means (8) for illuminating at least a substantially light-transparent portion (5) of the door front surface. Advantageously, the holding shell (4) comprises a partition (9) for dividing the shell in a front portion (10) for receiving said lighting means (8) and in back portion (11) for receiving said filling and cup driving means, the front portion of the shell being substantially light-transparent and being faced to said at least a substantially light-transparent portion (5) of the front surface of the door (2).
