<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell that can be downsized further than conventional ones while heat exchange is maintained. <P>SOLUTION: In this fuel cell (1), cell rooms (6a, 6b) to house a series of fuel battery cells (4) are formed of a bottom wall (8), side walls (10a to 10e), and an upper wall (12). The side walls (10a to 10e) have a multiplex wall structure, in which a proximal side space (18) and a distal side space (20) are constituted. The fuel battery cell (4) forms a tubular structural body that is extended vertically, and in the upper part of the tubular structural body (4), a combustion part (24) is installed, while an exhaust gas exhausted from the combustion part (24) flows downward from upward in the proximal side space (18). A communicating passage (22) extending from a wall of the proximal side space side of the distal side space (20) of the side walls (10c to 10e) which communicates the distal side space (20) with the cell rooms (6a, 6b) is installed, through which air is fed out toward the tubular structural body (4). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
