<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing solid fuel for fuel cell, the solid fuel being excellent in handleability and safety; and to provide a fuel cell using the solid fuel. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the solid fuel for fuel cell, porous material including the fuel for fuel cell has a coating film formed on its surface.
