PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display drive which reduces the chip size of a drive, power consumption, a mounting area, and a manufacturing cost, further suppresses man-hours in a connection process of a display panel with surrounding circuits, and mitigates the necessary connection accuracy, and also to provide a driving control method of the display drive and to provide a display device provided with the display drive. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 100A comprises: a liquid crystal display panel 110 in which a plurality of display pixels Px are two-dimensionally arrayed; a gate driver 120 which successively applies a scanning signal at a prescribed timing to each scanning line SL; a source driver 130 which distributes and applies a display signal voltage produced by serial data based on display data to each data line DL at prescribed timing; and an LCD controller 150 which produces and outputs a vertical control signal, a horizontal control signal and a data conversion control signal.
