A key input device, a method thereof and mobile terminal including the input device for improving the performance of an apparatus whose performance is lowered according to the number of control lines are provided to improve the performance of the apparatus according to the number of control lines and reduce the number of control lines necessary to operate the key by transmitting key input signal as wireless or square wave. A key signal generator(100) transmits the key signal in respectively different frequency among n keys included in a sub-housing. A key signal recognition unit(200) recognizes the key receiving the inputted key signal. A key signal generator generates the radio frequency signal in response to one or more input key among n keys.
