A sheet of material 22, wound in web-form on a reel 13, has one end attached to an edge 21 of a panel 20, such as a door. The panel is clamped to a frame 12. The reel 13 is mounted in arms 14 so that when the arms are pivoted about the axis 14a, the web or sheet 22 is brought into engagement with the edge 30 of the panel. The web is previously tensioned with hand wheels 17, and may be heated by infra-red heaters (not illustrated). Having attached the sheet 22 to the edge 30, the sheet is severed from the reel 13, whereupon the sheet is attached to the long edges of the panel. Figs. 2 to 4 (not shown) illustrate means for attaching the sheet to the edges of the panel, all of which Figures illustrate a tongue-andgroove arrangement. |
