IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD FOR EXTENDING DEPTH OF FIELD

An image processing method is provided to extend the depth of field to each color channel of a bayer format without additional physical structure. A side of an image sensor is arranged at a position where a Y-channel of a subject in 60cm-80cm from an optical system is minimum spot size(s31). An R, G and B channel is extracted from the bayer format output from the image sensor(s32). An edge degree of each R, G and B channel is measured(S33). A dispersed pixel energy around R, G and B channel is detected and correction value is calculated according to dispersed pixel energy(S341-S343). The compensation value is added to each pixel and corrected(S351-S353).
