PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a video image or sound from being interrupted or lost when switchably receiving a first broadcast wave and a second broadcast wave delayed from the first broadcast wave. SOLUTION: A broadcast retransmission apparatus 400 comprises a pilot information generating unit 414 for generating pilot information 480 indicating a delay amount of a retransmission wave with respect to a broadcast wave, and an OFDM modulation/retransmission unit 418 for generating the retransmission wave while containing the pilot information 480 therein. Furthermore, a broadcast receiver 100 comprises a delay amount calculation unit 14 for calculating the delay amount of the retransmission wave with respect to the broadcast wave, a delay amount storage unit 21 for storing the calculated delay amount, and a delay amount determination unit 15 for determining a delay amount of a system time clock (STC) on the basis of the delay amount stored in the delay amount storage unit 21. Thus, the broadcast receiver 100 delays presentation of video/sound information based on the delay amount of the retransmission wave, thereby preventing the video image or sound from being interrupted or lost when switching the broadcast wave and the retransmission wave.
